Leesa UK to support Manchester’s homeless

Andy Preston

A partnership has been announced between Manchester-headquartered Leesa and CEO Sleepout, a national charity focused on the fight against homelessness in the UK.

The announcement came ahead of Manchester’s inaugural CEO Sleepout, which took place on the pitch at Emirates Old Trafford on May 16.

Andy Preston, chairman-founder of CEO Sleepout, which has already raised over £750,000 for homeless projects across the country, said: “Leesa has a staggering record of compassion and generosity.

"Through its One-Ten programme, Leesa donates one mattress for every ten it sells and has already donated over 5,000 mattresses, including its recent first donation of mattresses in the UK to Mustard Tree in Manchester. Leesa and CEO Sleepout are a perfect combination.”

David Wolfe, co-founder and CEO of Leesa Sleep Limited, added: “Following our recent move into the UK, we are excited to partner with CEO Sleepout as part of our global commitment to help the homeless.

"We are particularly excited about the Manchester event as it is not only where our European operations are headquartered but it’s also the city where I grew up.”

The Manchester CEO Sleepout was the charity’s biggest ever outside London, with more than 90 senior business and community leaders sleeping rough to help raise funds for and awareness of homeless projects across the city.
