Hi, I’m Andy Preston and this is my website!

I served as Middlesbrough’s Elected Mayor from 2019 to 2023, driving investment, reducing crime, and tackling hunger. I introduced mass CCTV to deter criminal activity and established seven-day food access, making Middlesbrough a “hunger-free town.” Under my leadership, the Financial Times ranked the town 3rd best small city in Europe for investment.

Now, I’m a regular political commentator on national TV and radio, contributing articles to outlets like The Times and The Telegraph.

My Christian upbringing has shaped my commitment to charity. I founded and led the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, raising over £6 million for local causes, and launched CEO Sleepout charity, which has raised more than £5 million to fight homelessness and poverty nationwide.

Before entering public life, I built a successful career in international finance.
